So you want to sit straight up squeezing your shoulder blades together throughout this entire exercise. Slowly pull your head backwards just like you were tucking your chin and you want to look straight ahead.
Throughout this entire movement and just slightly feel that stretch along the back of your neck the next exercise would be called a flexion. So this is simply just bending your neck forward. You want to slowly bring that chin towards your chest you will feel another stretch along the back of your neck and you want to hold that just for about three to five seconds. Repeating about ten times the next exercise is called side bending. This will improve the ability to tip your ears forward over your shoulder relieving that tension as well. You want to squeeze your shoulder blades together drop your right ear toward your right shoulder and then once you feel that stretch go ahead and turn to the left side of the neck. And again you want to hold this exercise for around three to five seconds relaxing and repeating about 10 times. Now you do want to repeat about ten times on both sides. The next exercises extension on this one actually allows you to look up towards the ceiling and it does help you with maintaining better posture because you want to maintain that posture to avoid any extra pinching of the nerves or strain and the back of your neck. So the next exercise is rotation and this actually allows you to look over your shoulder. You want to sit up straight maintaining that correct posture. And so you turn your head to the right until you feel a deep stretch along the left side of your neck. You had a hold three to five seconds and then relax.
You do and to repeat this about 10 times and still work up to about three sets and ten rotations to each side the next exercise is an ISO matrix. This will strengthen your neck and upper back muscles without allowing any type of movement. You want to place your hand on your forehead pressing your hand with your head as if you’re trying to bend your neck forward but you do not want to let your neck move at all so don’t allow it to move. And again you want to repeat this step ten times and then just go through the chin tuck and all of the exercises that I previously explained.
